Sightseeing of Sofia - Vitosha Mountains - Shopping

The day tour of the Bulgarian capital Sofia is a one-day trip around the city  – a new worthwhile life experience. We’ll pass through all periods of the rich Bulgarian history. We’ll move through the ancient tribes’ past, through the mighty Roman, Byzantine and Turkish empires up to communism, totalitarian architecture and modern life.

Visit the main landmarks of the Bulgarian capital – the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, the Central Synagogue, the St. George Rotunda, the St. Sophia Basilica, the National Theatre, the Presidency with the change of guards, and many others.

We continue our trip to the situated next to Sofia Vitosha Mountain with its highest summit Cherni Vrah, the fourth highest peak in Bulgaria. You can see the mountain almost from every point in the city. You can easily escape the busy city life and find yourself surrounded by the rich diversity of flora and fauna.
Vitosha is the oldest national park on the Balkans. It is known for its stone rivers and magnificent views to Sofia. The mountain is covered with snow from January to March, and it is a perfect place for skiing and hiking in winter as well as trekking and picnicking in summer.

We offer to finish our day with a visit to the Vitosha Blvd, which is Sofia’s main shopping street. The retail outlets of many western brand names are concentrated on the stretch between Patriarch Eftimii Blvd. and St. Nedelya Square (Balkan Hotel former Sheraton). The numerous cafes and restaurants keep it bustling with life both during the day and up to late at night.

There are also many Malls in Sofia which offer fantastic shopping sprees and a lot of fun for everyone as a screen cinema, including 4DX, carting area, Funtopia, a rooftop amusement park, a ping-pong club, a climbing center.
