
Bansko
The town of Bansko is only 160 km far from Sofia, and it is very close to the Greek border, and it is also one of the most popular ski resorts in Bulgaria. The 75-km-long ski trail network located just above the town is the longest and the most impressive one in the country. It comprises 18 ski runs of varying difficulty and a modern lift system that can carry up to 24 000 people an hour. It includes eight chairlifts, four surface lifts and a gondola lift starting from the town. Thousands of ski and snowboard enthusiasts visit the resort every winter. Bansko is also hosting the best professional skiers in the world as a participant of the ski World Cup.
